As the congregation grew more parking was needed, so through fundraising efforts the two lots to the east of us were purchased and a large parking lot with trees and shrubs and a sprinkling system was established. In the mid 1090s the sanctuary was remodeled, increasing the platform, adding a bigger sound system an inside stained glass window, raising the roof to a lovely vaulted wooden ceiling, adding easy to clean white wallpaper, and recovering the cushioned theater seating. Aisles of new carpeting were installed and the lovey wooden floors were refinished. A last minute gift helped pay for this update.Then in the mid 2000s the kitchen with its many cupboards was remodeled with its big double stainless steel sinks, two gas stoves were purchased, and a buffet for kitchen appliances was added. Tile flooring was added to the large social hall around the serving area near the pass-through window and counter from the kitchen.This beautiful building has lovingly served our aging congregation, and other groups over all these years. It is lovely, flexible, and can serve as a meeting space for other faith groups, or any organization. Or it could become a fabulous home or duplex.
